An open letter to my Mamoo
For those of you just tuning in, I call my Mama's wife Mamoo.

Dear Mamoo,

It makes me shudder to even contemplate touching the things you consider food. You were dangling this floppy thing over the heater, Mamoo. It was wiggly and wobbly. I thought it was a toy for me. Then you told me it was bacon. That didn't look a thing like the yummy turkey bacon Mama fries up. That stuff smells good and it looks nice and crispy. I want to have some, but Mama won't give it to me on account of my sensitive tummy, so I just have to content myself with the smell.

I had to check out this scientific monster for myself. It doesn't even look right, Mamoo! It smells weird and it's floppy, and I touched it and all I could think of was ewww! You're good at cuddling and being good to Mama, but you just aren't right in the food department.

Maybe I could show you what is good food. I have nearly ten years of experience in knowing what is good and what isn't. Apparently I have to do a lot to educate you.

Love,

your Babaloo

Yes, that's really what she calls me. Really. It isn't nearly as saccharine as some of the things Mama calls me.

Dearest Babaloo, I have to point out that it was Mama who bought the soy bacon, and for Mamoo's sensitive-to-meat tummy that fake bacon is most yummy. Perhaps we can share some yummy, floppy sashimi sometime. I love you Babaloo!

Sweet baby, I watched intently while you checked out Mamoo's soy bacon. We all have different opinions about what good food is, and Mamoo has a sensitive tummy like you, but for different things. I'm sorry you were so disturbed by the soy bacon. I'm sure Dr. Ari would allow some sashimi in your diet if you wanted to have some as an extra special treat. I'll even make sure Rascal and Velcro are out of the house so you can eat your fill.

Dear Ophelia,

This is Cricket J. Greebo, the Kitton. Oh no! The HUmans eat the weirdest food, don't they? It makes me fraidy to watch sometimes. The Mama eats avocados and apples and oranges and things that are certainly not food.
She doesn't eat enough Chicken. Or Clams.

You just need to be mellow about it, the Humans are defective Kittons in so many ways. And ask your mama's for some feeeeesh. Feeeesh is Food!

love,

The Kitton

Believe me, I didn't want to! It didn't Smell Right and it felt All Kinds Of Bad. I can't believe that my Mama, who knows what is good food, actually bought that awful stuff for Mamoo. I thought my Mama had gotten past being an enabler. She and I are going to have a talk.
